Both residents and visitors to
Salt Lake City can find much to do in the winter months. Some people (including us at
Lofty Peaks Adventures LLC) would tout that winter recreation in
Utah cannot be beat! From
guided snowmobile tours to ice skating, you can find winter activities for everyone. We will highlight a few.
Snow Skiing
You can find many different ski resorts in the greater
Salt Lake City, UT area. Enjoy slopes of varying degrees of difficulty, or just sip hot chocolate in the lodge while you watch others defeat the snow and ice. Either way, you’re bound to have a great time!
Guided Snowmobile Tours
In both
Park City and
Snowbird, Lofty Peaks Adventures LLC offers
guided snowmobile tours. However, these tours are anything but ordinary. Our guides are experts on Utah’s backcountry, and we want you to enjoy a real snowmobiling adventure. You’re sure to get your money’s worth!
Ice Skating at Gallivan Center
If you appreciate both art and ice skating, then Gallivan Center of
Salt Lake City is your place. The building was recently renovated and features various art projects as well as a public skating rink.
Tubing
Snow skiing isn’t for everyone—or you may just need a break! If so, check out the tubing hills at Gorgoza Park. This
Utah activity may be especially great if you have a group of varying ages and ability levels.
Unguided Snowmobile Rentals
At our
Heber City location, just about an hour outside downtown SLC, we offer
unguided snowmobile rentals. So if you’re wanting to explore the Utah landscape with all its freshly fallen snow, check out our
snowmobile rental options.
